Auburn University Ranks #1 in the Nation for Happiest Students

Occurring once a year, The Princeton Review recently released this year’s “Best 390 Colleges” rankings. The rankings are based on data gathered from a survey of 168,000 students at the 390 schools. The survey included 89 questions asking current students about campus life and their fellow students.

For locals, students and Auburn fans, it comes as no surprise that Auburn University ranks first in the nation for happiest students, as well as appearing on 12 more notable lists!

This number one accomplishment comes from students’ answers based on how strongly they agreed or disagreed with the statement, “I am happy at my school,” for example. Other lists that feature Auburn include being second nationally for “Best Athletic Facilities,” fourth in “Town-Grown Relations Are Great,” sixth for “Friendliest Students” and eighth for “Best Quality of Life.”

More about this ranking

Following this publication, Auburn’s senior vice president for student affairs, Bobby Woodard, stated the Auburn experience goes beyond just academics and that the students benefit from opportunities for connections, honing leadership skills and personal and professional growth.

When YellowHammer News talked to students on campus, they had students respond with smiles and phrases we have heard about Auburn before—such as the Auburn family, and if you love Auburn, it will love you back.
