Growing from their heritage, the original three Sharp brothers ventured to America from Scotland, and eventually, John Emerald Sharp became the company’s namesake. According to their website, honoring their forefathers in spirit seemed fitting for the spirits crafted at the small-batch distillery.
John Emerald Distilling Company is a craft distillery serving cocktails and offering bottle sales and tours while distributing products throughout Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, New York, California, Colorado and Illinois.
In addition to making and serving whiskey and cocktails, you can learn how they craft their whiskey, the first whiskey made legally in Alabama in 100 years, during the tours.
