New technology
First and foremost, after some time of waiting and the final approval from the Auburn Board of Trustees, a new video board will be built. Designed for the north end zone of Jordan-Hare Stadium, this video board will complement the video board in the south end zone.
Strategic Communications Director for Auburn Athletics, Jeff Shearer stated that this new upgrade will be the envy of college football and will allow for continued expansion in the north end zone.
Although this new Jumbotron won’t be complete until fall 2025, a groundbreaking will be this summer. However, fans can expect other changes set for this upcoming football season.
More updates
Another one of the upgrades coming to Jordan-Hare Stadium includes an investment in advanced meteorology equipment. Made to track and predict extreme weather patterns before kickoff, this new equipment will allow Auburn to better communicate weather hazards to the stadium and community.
Reports stated there can be a 10- to 15-degree difference between seats in the shade compared to those in the sun. By collecting this data, they can identify vulnerable areas in the stadium and prepare.
Other updates include cooling and misting stations, portable fans, free water jugs and more safety personnel.
