The preliminary competition is on Friday, May 31, and the final competition is on Saturday, June 1, when the next Miss Alabama USA will be crowned.

This is a family-friendly event, and all funds generated support the Opelika Rotary Charitable Foundation, primarily the Food Bank of East Alabama Backpack Program.

  • What: From Broadway comes the Best Musical winner, Come From Away! A New York Times Critics’ Pick, this musical takes you through the journey of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures will clash, nerves will run high and uneasiness will turn to trust, all while music soars and friendships grow.

Battle of the Bands, June 22

  • What: Visit Botanic for Battle of the Bands, where 12 bands will battle it out for your vote. The last band standing will receive $5,000 cash and a recorded song produced at The Sound Wall with Grammy-nominated artist Justin Rivers. There will be three stages, vendors, cash bars and a shrimp boil!
