It’s the “Real Thing.” Coca-Cola UNITED’s new facility in Auburn is one step closer to becoming a reality after a recent groundbreaking ceremony at the future facility’s site.
About Coca-Cola UNITED’s new facility in Auburn
Construction of Coca-Cola UNITED’s new facility in Auburn will soon be underway, according to recent reports. The upcoming building will sit on about 15 acres off West Veterans Boulevard.
Upon expected completion in 2025, the building will have office space but will also function as a sales center and warehouse. It will become a hub of product distribution throughout Lee, Chambers, Macon, Coosa, Randolph, Russell and Tallapoosa counties in Alabama, plus Troup County in nearby Georgia.
The Birmingham-based Coca-Cola bottler announced in 2023 that it planned to relocate its West Point, Georgia, operations to Auburn. Due to storm damage at the West Point facility last March, a temporary move happened sooner than expected.
Now, Coca-Cola UNITED is investing about $18 million in a brand-new state-of-the-art facility. Coca-Cola UNITED’s new facility in Auburn will create about 75 new jobs upon completion.
