The signs are up, and things are moving right along at the soon-to-be-open MELT in Auburn. Located on Samford Avenue across from Auburn High School, this Birmingham favorite is getting ready to dish up melt-in-your-mouth comfort food on The Plains.
About MELT in Auburn
There’s no better way to describe MELT in Auburn than in their own words. Simply put, MELT is all about “classic food with a modern twist.” What began as a food truck in 2011 soon turned into a storefront in the quaint Birmingham neighborhood of Avondale.
Today, there are a total of three restaurants that have opened, with two in the Birmingham area and one in Huntsville. The MELT in Auburn will be the fourth location for the concept that isn’t afraid to bring on the cheese!
In fact, you can bet almost everything on the MELT menu has a bit of cheese, other than the desserts and the vegetarian and vegan options, that is. Are you ready to find out more about what ooey-gooey goodness awaits?
The menu
MELT in Auburn will be serving MELT favorites like the “Mac N’ Egg Rolls,” which are mac-and-cheese egg rolls served with a sweet and spicy chili glaze for dipping, and “Baron’s Bites,” pretzel-breaded cheese snacks served with jalapeno ranch.
Guests can “Get Toasty” and enjoy fresh sandwiches ranging from the “Buffalo Chicken” to the “Classic Grilled Cheese” to the “Cheeseburger.” Choices also include chicken fingers, nachos, salads, sides and more.
Remember to save room for something sweet, like deep-fried double-stuffed Oreos or deep-fried Snickers!

When MELT officially opens for business, you will find the new restaurant at 1800 Samford Trace Court, Suite 240, holding down the corner lot at The Village at Samford Trace.
