About New Realm Brewing Company in Auburn
New Realm Brewing Company in Auburn is housed in the Tony and Libba Rane Culinary Science Center on campus. It is the city’s first microbrewery. Not only is it a brewery that is open to the public, but it is a teaching lab for students as well.
As part of the College of Human Sciences Brewing Science and Operations program, the brewery provides students with hands-on learning experiences and the opportunity to work toward establishing future breweries.
In a nutshell, there are two brewing programs available for students. First, there is a Graduate Certificate Program that prepares students for careers focused on malting, brewing and distilling. Next, the Master of Science Program offers a more in-depth study of the craft brewing business.
