Put on your walking shoes and your listening ears. It’s time once again for the Haunted Walking Tours in Auburn and Opelika, going on Fridays and Saturdays now through October 28th.
About Haunted Walking Tours in Auburn and Opelika
Haunted Walking Tours in Auburn and Opelika will take you to all the haunted spots in both towns. Join Alabama Spectral Investigators as they share real accounts of unexplained occurrences at some of the area’s local landmarks.
The 11th Annual Haunted Auburn Walking Tour
Local folklorist, paranormal investigator, artist, and professional actor Brandon Stoker and his investigative partner John-Mark Poe, an accredited historian, local author, and paranormal investigator, will lead you through downtown Auburn.
During the walking tour, they will share several first-hand accounts from people who’ve worked and lived in The Loveliest Village on the Plains for years. Hear spine-tingling accounts of paranormal activity and things that just couldn’t be explained.
There are ghosts of old fraternity row, the Auburn University Chapel, the “fiery omen” of Hargis Hall and more recent encounters too. The Auburn tour will start at 8 p.m. Meet between the eagle statues across from Toomer’s Corner.
The Opelika Haunted Walking Tour
One of Opelika’s newest fall events, the Opelika Haunted Walking Tour will take you past familiar downtown locations. A few haunts include The Spectral Train, a prohibition-era voodoo doctor’s shop, the ghost of Tandy Keyes, The Phantom Horse and more.
The Opelika tour starts at 6 p.m. Meet the tour guides at the old train depot near the end of Railroad Avenue by the old wooden stairs.
