Summer Swing Concert Series, Aug. 1

  • What: It’s the final show of the summer! Don’t miss the Back to School Bash on Tuesday, Aug. 1st, in Opelika’s Monkey Park! Come early for hamburgers and hot dogs, plus train rides for the kids from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

  • What: It’s the 40th anniversary of this nationwide community-building event! Learn more about our community’s public services, safety, youth programs, health services and more. Choctafaula Wagon Rides, Aug. 4-6, 11-13, 18-20 & 25-27

  • What: Take a wagon ride to see exotic animals. Let the kids run wild in a play area. See animals up close and personal at a petting zoo. Get a bite to eat at the café at Choctafaula. Wagon rides start at 10:30 a.m. and run each hour until 3:30 p.m.

Ride & Seek: A Bike Safety Adventure, Aug. 26

  • What: Get safety tips from Auburn Bicycle Committee experts and test your skills on a mountain bike trail and a paved trail. Ride and Seek teaches kids in kindergarten through 8th grade and their parents how to ride bikes safely and have fun. There will be free prizes and a raffle for bike equipment!
