Cheers to the holidays, and cheers to a new kind of experience downtown! Session Cocktails Auburn is officially open for business, but don’t expect your average bar experience.
About Session Cocktails Auburn
In fact, Session Cocktails Auburn is all about delivering guests a high-end cocktail in an upscale setting with a few twists of their own.
Established in Tuscaloosa in 2019, Session Cocktails is more lounge than bar with a focus on VIP hospitality. According to reports, it’s part of what owner and founder, Hunter Wiggins, refers to as the “five-step process.”
First, every customer is greeted at the door. Second, every customer is seated either at the bar or at a booth or table.
Third, all seated customers are catered to by a knowledgeable server. That includes those sitting at the bar.
Fourth, experienced bartenders will make your drink perfectly. Fifth and finally, the last thing you can expect to hear as you exit is “thank you.”
Along with exceptional customer service, visitors to Session Cocktails Auburn can expect to sip and savor specialty cocktails in a classy, yet casual and fun, exotic jungle-themed environment.
The menu
Like the original Session Cocktails in Tuscaloosa, the Auburn location serves 10 to 12 handcrafted cocktails, including rotating in-house specialties. The menu also includes select beers and wines.
Cocktails range from classics like the Old Fashioned to modern concoctions like the Ring My Bell, which was recently featured on the Garden & Gun website!
According to Session’s Instagram, you’ve never had a good Old Fashioned until you’ve had one of theirs. Made in a short glass over ice, it includes Old Forester 86 bourbon, demerara and angostura.
Before you visit, take a minute to check out their current cocktail menu here.
Location
