Opelika’s Very Merry Stroll, Dec. 1-31
- What: Find holiday inspiration at Opelika’s Very Merry Stroll featuring 25 live trees decorated locally. The Tree Lighting is on Dec. 1st at 6:30 p.m. Plus, sip hot cocoa with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Every night after, the trees will light up Library Park from dusk until 9 p.m.

Downtown Auburn Holiday Open House, Dec. 2
- What: Get your holiday shopping done in a day at the Holiday Open House! Enjoy extended shopping hours plus exclusive discounts and specials. There will be also be children’s activities, Santa, live music, to-go cocktails and more!

Snopelika Parade & Tree Lighting, Dec. 2
- What: Officially kick off the Christmas season at this free annual event. There will be artificial snow, a tree lighting and real holiday fun!

Jingle Jog 5K and Santa Stroll Fun Run, Dec. 3
- What: Next on the list of December 2022 events in Auburn and Opelika gives you one more reason to dig out that ugly Christmas sweater…and your running shoes! Rise and shine and warm up with a run, jog or walk in Downtown Auburn.

- When: 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Downtown Auburn Christmas Parade, Dec. 4
- What: A holiday favorite is back! Find your Christmas spirit and more at the annual Auburn Christmas parade. Come early and from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. visitors can also see a cheery familiar face—it’s Santa on the Corner! Bring your camera.

Auburn Gingerbread Village, Dec. 4-Jan. 1
- What: Feast your eyes upon the largest Gingerbread Village in East Alabama! More than 10 gingerbread buildings will be on display throughout the month. The unveiling will be right after Auburn’s Christmas parade.

Rocky Brook Rocket Reindeer Express, Dec. 8-10
- What: All aboard the Rocky Brook Reindeer Express for dazzling displays and twinkle lights galore! There will be a holiday market, live music, hot chocolate and visits with Santa.

Christmas in a Railroad Town, Dec. 9
- What: Let the magical memories begin at this fun-filled holiday favorite! There are train rides, wagon rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, a photo booth, hot chocolate, make your own reindeer food and so much more!

- When: 6 to 9 p.m.

Choctafaula Christmas Festival, Dec. 10
- What: It’s Christmas at Choctafaula! Enjoy family games, inflatables, pony rides, wagon rides, rock climbing, a mechanical bull, a horse-drawn carriage, visits with Santa, handmade gifts and more await!

Drop & Pop New Year’s Bash!, Dec. 31
- What: Bigger and better than before, it’s the Drop and Pop New Year’s Bash! Ring in 2023 with live music, cash bar, hors d’oeuvres, various prizes (like complimentary spa treatments!), champagne at midnight and more.
