If news of Cheeburger Cheeburger closing in downtown Auburn made you sad, hope is on the horizon. A new kind of burger is coming to town. By spring, Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint in Auburn is planned to be a reality.
Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint
Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint in Auburn will bring its own kind of burgers, craft beer and good times to the corner of North College Street.
Based in Harrisonburg, Va., the restaurant now has several locations in Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina and Alabama.
In fact, the Auburn location will be the fourth Alabama restaurant for the brand. It will join locations in Birmingham and Huntsville, with a third location heading to Tuscaloosa early next year.
Wondering what’s on the menu? Toppings and even the names may vary by location, but you can always count on premium burgers, more than 100 beers and hot French fries or sweet potato fries.
The menu
The mainstay and star of the menu is the burger. But these are no ordinary burgers. In fact, every Jack Brown’s burger starts with 100 percent natural American Wagyu beef.
And do yourself a favor, don’t ask for lettuce or tomato!
These award-winning burgers branch out with “creative twists on the American classic.” For example, the Cobra Kai is a burger topped with cream cheese, pickled jalapenos and jalapeno jelly.
Then there’s the Greg Brady—a burger topped with house-made mac ‘n cheese, American cheese and BBQ chips.
Another popular choice is the Elvis, which combines two of his favorite ingredients—peanut butter and mayo. It also includes American cheese and Applewood smoked bacon.
Location
Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint in Auburn will be located downtown at 160 North College St.—the former Cheeburger Cheeburger location. According to reports, the restaurant plans to be open early spring 2023.
