More specifically, Well Red Two in Auburn is in the preliminary stages of planning. In late September, the business received initial approval from the Auburn City Council for a proposed location on N. Donahue Drive just south of Shug Jordan Parkway near the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
The shop will be a complementary store to the existing Well Red located on Opelika Road in Auburn. Like the original, Well Red Two will offer a unique selection of books, coffee, specialty beverages, pastries, wine and beer.
Unlike the first Well Red, this location is planned to have a drive-thru! That means customers will have a new quick drive-thru option for coffee and baked goods.
What’s more, the second location will offer plenty of space to get cozy with a book, beverage and treat. In fact, the plans for the bookstore and coffee shop include 4,000-square-feet.

Well Red Two will also host open mic nights, poetry readings, wine tastings and author meet-and-greets.
While future details such as when construction starts and an estimated opening date have not been given, bookworms and coffee lovers can camp out at the current location at 223 Opelika Rd.
Well Red’s hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Doors open on Friday at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. with Saturday hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
