About Playday Karts
This Opelika-based amusement park and go-kart track is revving up its engine. We have a local resident, John Blount, to thank for this new addition to our town. He designed it with our youth in mind, hoping to give them a cool place to gather and enjoy themselves.
The attractions
The first installation will be its go-kart track, which will boast 17 different go-karts to choose from.
Parents and guardians, you can also rest assured that there are options for you and your small children. Five go-karts feature double seats, so you can take your child along for a safe ride together.
The amusement park itself is yet to come, but you can always watch out for the exciting progress.
That’s not all the area will feature either. Proposed attractions include:
- Axe-throwing;
- Bounce houses;
- Putt-putt golf;
- Virtual reality; and
- An arcade.
Location
Playday Karts will be located on six acres near the Opelika RV Center on U.S. Highway 280.
Opening date
As of yet, there’s no specific opening date for the amusement park and go-kart track in Opelika. According to an article published in the Opelika Observer, Playday Karts has a projected opening date of mid-August.
Playday Karts will also give you something to look forward to. Because it will unveil its attractions in waves, you’ll have a great excuse to visit them again and again.
