Opelika’s Freedom Celebration, July 2nd
One of the activities happening for Independence Day 2022 in Auburn and Opelika is Opelika’s Freedom Celebration.
This annual favorite will take place Saturday, July 2nd, at Opelika High School. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs and popcorn. Plus, the whole family will enjoy live music and other family-friendly activities.
Did we mention fireworks won’t be the only exciting thing in the night sky? You won’t want to miss the arrival of the Silver Wings Parachute Team around 7:30 p.m.!
Fireworks will light up the night sky at 9:30 p.m.
Lucy’s Disco Brunch, July 3rd
Keep the holiday fun alive with Lucy’s Disco Brunch from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. In fact, Lucy’s is loving all things disco every Sunday for the rest of July!
We’re talking disco décor and a DJ spinning dance tunes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for starters. Groovy drinks like the Dancing Queen and Super Freak will get your taste buds tapping too. Add in some Pigs-in-Bellbottoms and it’s a disco brunch!
Auburn Independence Day Celebration, July 4th
Pack up chairs, blankets and the kids for Auburn’s annual Independence Day Celebration behind Duck Samford Stadium Monday, July 4th! Gates open at 5 p.m. Come early and enjoy live music. Plus, local food trucks will be on-site serving a variety of good food.
Fireworks are set to begin at 9 p.m. In case this free event is rained out, fireworks only will be moved to Tuesday, July 5th.
Summer Swing, July 5th
When it comes to Independence Day 2022 in Auburn and Opelika, make plans to keep the celebrations going for one more day. From Monday to Tuesday, get into the swing of summer with Summer Swing!
Head to Opelika’s Municipal Park on July 5th around 6:15 for a chance to enjoy another round of hamburgers and hotdogs. Then kick back to the sounds of the Fedoras at 7 p.m.
