What is the Eagle Watch Program?
The Auburn Police Department’s Eagle Watch Program is a security camera registration program. It allows locals to voluntarily give camera footage to the Auburn Police Department. The goal is to make life safer around our town for business owners and residents.
How can the Auburn Police Department’s Eagle Watch Program help our community?
Thanks to a combined effort from the Auburn Police Department, the City of Auburn, local business owners, and residents like you, we can create an even safer town.
The Eagle Watch Program can give police crucial evidence to solve crimes, providing important video footage. Additionally, it can also act as a deterrent, keeping your home or business protected.
Can they view my videos without my permission?
No, the Auburn Police Department cannot view your footage unless you grant them permission.
If you have a residential camera, they may send participants a link to share footage in the event of a crime or suspicious event. However, it is entirely up to you to decide whether or not you will participate.
If you have a commercial camera, you may allow the Auburn Police Department remote access. It’s completely voluntary, so you can also refuse if you wish.
Is it free to join?
Yes! It is free to join Auburn Police Department’s Eagle Watch Program. After you register a commercial camera system with the program, they will also give you a free Eagle Watch decal to place on your door or window.
Will I need a camera to join?
You will need to have a camera of your own to join this program. They will not be furnishing participants with any physical offerings beyond a decal.
Where can I join?
You can join this free program here. After you submit the form, expect the Auburn Police Department to reach out to you to finish the process.
Who can I contact with questions?
