Whataburger in Downtown Auburn

Have you been to Toomer’s Corner lately? If so, you may have noticed Whataburger in Downtown Auburn is officially open as of earlier this month!

Now open

In fact, Whataburger in Downtown Auburn will stay open all day! This Texas-based burger chain is known for several things, including being open for 24 hours.

Another Whataburger signature item is, of course, the name in bubbly font along with an orange-and-white color scheme.

Luckily, those colors blend well around here, and with other local touches, Whataburger’s ambiance feels like home.

For instance, a familiar Auburn University logo prominently displayed outside the front door also greets visitors. Turns out, Whataburger in Downtown Auburn is a proud supporter and sponsor of AU Athletics. Hence, the co-branded exterior.

Eventually, additional seating and a few other touches will be completed upstairs at the second Whataburger to open in our area.

But for now, guests can enjoy downtown views from 101 North College St. while chowing down on an original Whataburger. Or have it brought straight to your door with delivery when you order online, which is now available at the Auburn location.

More about Whataburger

Known for big burgers and fresh ingredients, Whataburger first served a burger so big it took two hands to hold it in 1950 in Corpus Christi, TX.

Today, more than 800 restaurants continue the tradition of serving a “bigger, better burger.”

Around here, the first location opened in July 2021 across from Tiger Town in Opelika.

So, you may be familiar with the huge 100 percent natural beef patty served on a big bun topped with lettuce, tomatoes, diced onions, pickles and mustard.

However, the menu isn’t limited to burgers. In fact, it includes chicken, salads, breakfast and more.

You can connect with Whataburger on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. For more about the Auburn location, check out our past blog featuring it.

Summary

January may be off to a busy start, but don’t forget to take time for yourself. Maybe it’s a good time to grab a bite at Whataburger and fuel up for a downtown shopping spree. Maybe it’s a good time to talk about your dream home wish, which may be closer to a reality than you think!
