It looks like it also has shown a bit of progress too. Since the last study, the impact has grown by 1 percent—which is kind of a big deal when billions are involved!

So, where did all this info come from? It resulted from a study conducted by Auburn’s Division of University Outreach, as well as Economic Research Services in Montgomery. Data came from four sources:
- Auburn University at Montgomery;
- The Alabama Cooperative Extension System;
- The main Auburn University campus; and
- The Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station.

For instance, of that $5.63 billion, $2.2 billion had a direct economic impact on the state. And, the University has also improved the earning potential that Alabama graduates have, to the tune of $3.42 billion.
It also shows that Auburn is a great place to work—and the University is partially responsible for that fact. The college has brought 27,312 careers to the area. Wow!
