If you’ve talked to any one of its many fans, you’ll know that Buc-ee’s is much more than a gas station. From its characteristic sprawling square footage, to its branded merch, to its extensive selection of snacks and drinks, it offers the perfect place to stock up on everything. And soon, you can fuel, munch, and more at the Buc-ee’s Travel Center in Auburn. Coming in December 2022, it will stand along Exit 50, off Interstate 85. Until then, you can pass some of the time by reading all about it!

All about Buc-ee’s

Bu-cee’s turns convenient stores into an art form. You can find tasty branded food, like their beaver nuggets (A.K.A. caramel corn), beef jerky, fudge made in their store, and BBQ. Not to mention, you can also pick out branded merch like T-shirts and hats to rep your new fave spot. Plus, they offer home goods, like wine glasses and wall signs.

As for the kids, they can pick out toys at Buc-ee’s too, buying you a little peace and quiet on your car ride. And yes, they even sell something for your pets too, like leashes and treats.

Some Buc-ee’s also have car washes! In fact, their Katy, TX store earned the world record for the longest car wash. Theirs goes on for 255 feet! While news hasn’t specified whether or not this Buc-ee’s will feature a car wash, it remains a possibility.

Whether you drive gas or electric, you can refuel at the new Buc-ee’s Travel Center in Auburn. The chain offers ethanol-free fuel and charging spots, as well as diesel fuel at select locations.

This Buc-ee’s will span an impressive 53,000-square-feet. With a projected cost of $45 million, it will generate 175 jobs and economic activity for years to come. After all, when people see a Buc-ee’s sign along the interstate, they’ll want to make a stop!

Look to the northeast! Or, more specifically, look off exit 50 off Interstate 85. Eventually, that area will host the new Buc-ee’s Travel Center in Auburn.

When will they open the new Buc-ees?

A venture of this magnitude will take some time! Constructing the building, hiring new employees, and stocking the shelves—it’s all a work in progress. The proposed timeline estimates a December 2022 opening—just in time for winter break traveling!
