Slam Dunk the Junk Cleanup and Fun Day, May 8
- What: Together, we can keep our town beautiful and litter-free. Join the City of Opelika in cleaning up trash—and then reward yourself with a free throw competition, slam dunk competition, prizes, food, and more. You can register to compete online!

Run it to Win it 5K!, May 15
- What: The Run it to Win it 5K! won’t just help your health! It will also generate proceeds for the SLAAM AAU, a group of youth basketball teams. Runners aged 13 and older can sign up for $30, while runners aged 12 and younger can join for $15.
