We may have just unearthed the best new idea for an outing! The appetizer: walking around a gorgeously-landscaped area. The main course: eating a delicious farm-to-table feast. The dessert: picking out a plant to take home in the retail center. That’s right—you’ll find the menu to the perfect day at the upcoming Botanic in Opelika, located in the former Cock of the Walk building.
More on Botanic in Opelika
You may recognize some of the names behind Botanic in Opelika! This upcoming business will arrive in town, all thanks to the folks from Chicken Salad Chick, Crepe Myrtle Café, and Blooming Colors. In fact, one of the founders is Stacy Brown, who also founded Chicken Salad Chick, and her husband King Braswell.
Chicken Salad Chick also came from local roots too! Back in the beginning, Brown used to sell her recipes door-to-door in Auburn. Now, the restaurant has blossomed into a chain success. So, it’s nice to see that all the support it received locally is being poured back into our economy!
What can I do at Botanic in Opelika?
Botanic in Opelika will offer an experience beyond just a meal! Not only will it offer a farm-to-table menu, but its landscaping will inspire you to cultivate a green thumb of your own. And, if you feel drawn to the soil, you can pick up plants and gardening supplies right then and there.
If you simply need a spot to get away, Botanic offers that too. With a pond, fish and turtles to feed, music, outdoor activities, and more, Botanic wants visitors to stick around and gather. It sounds like our community can truly enjoy growing stronger together at this lovely local treasure in the making.
Visiting Details
We wish we could go to Botanic right now! Luckily, the forces behind it are hard at work. Though they haven’t announced an opening date, you can stay in the loop by following their Facebook page. When it comes time for the unveiling, visit them at 1702 Frederick Road.
