JDCAC Pumpkin Competition, Oct. 1-27

  • What: Who can create a masterpiece out of a Halloween favorite—the pumpkin? Pumpkin Competition submissions must include a short description of their inspiration. Prizes will be awarded in several categories like Most Creative, Best Carve, and Best Children’s Work. To register and review the rules be sure to go the website.

8th Annual Haunted Auburn Walking Tour, Oct. 2-31

  • What: A walking tour lead by Alabama Spectral Investigators will take you past many of Auburn’s most paranormal spots while sharing intriguing details. Walks are each Friday and Saturday evening, and each weeknight the last week of October. Check out their Facebook page for more.

2020 Pumpkin Decorating Contest, Oct. 15-30

  • What: Show off your spooky, festive, one-of-a-kind pumpkin decorating skills! To enter, pictures of your pumpkins must be emailed to [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Oct. 30. Winners in three categories will be announced on Halloween and will receive gift cards from local businesses.

Outdoor Movie Series, Oct. 23

  • What: It’s back! Friday Fright Night Movie with a kid-friendly Halloween short film at 6:30 p.m. followed by Little Shop of Horrors at 7 p.m. Bring blankets, chairs, a picnic dinner, and the whole family to this free event!

Halloween Enchanted Forest at the Kreher Preserve, Oct. 23-24

  • What: Looking for a mysterious Halloween adventure for the family? Join Active Auburn & the Downtown Merchants Association for a Downtown Spooky Scavenger Hunt. Active Auburn hides a pumpkin downtown, posts a clue on their Facebook page (@activeauburnAL ), and one lucky winner gets a gift card from that downtown location! 2020 Drive Thru Trick or Treat, Oct. 30

  • What: It’s spook-tacular alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating, put on your costume, pull up in your car, and let the City of Auburn employees fill your bag with treats! This event is free and open to the public. Be sure to check out all the details online!
