In Auburn, it’s hardly surprising that we tend to live like family. It is one of the defining characteristics of our community, after all. Auburn’s City Market, which runs from May 30 to Aug. 29, is one of the many instances the Auburn family comes together. Featuring fresh, locally-sourced foods and produce, the market will be held weekly on Saturdays at Town Creek Park, except on July 4.
Meet You at the Market
Hosted by Auburn Parks and Recreation, Auburn’s City Market returns to beautiful Town Creek Park this summer. Every Saturday from May 30 to Aug. 29, except July 4, the market will feature local products and produce. Farmers, growers, and foodies from around the Auburn area will flock to this community-wide event. Even locally crafted artwork may grace the grounds!
As you mark your calendars for the upcoming season of Auburn’s City Market, remember to jot down the time as well: 8 to 11 a.m. The market will also adopt a few adjustments this year, based on current circumstances. These include:
- A six-foot distance between guests
- No food samples
- A 10-foot distance between vendors
- Food-safe gloves and face masks for vendors, along with one-person payment method
- Pre-packaged products
- No loitering or social congregations
- No animals
This year, Auburn’s City Market asks that guests shop as they’d like and exit the market as quickly as possible once done. At-risk individuals, along with those feeling ill, are encouraged to refrain from attending. For information on specific farms and vendors, Auburn’s City Market frequently lists them on their Facebook page.
