new hotel in downtown Auburn

Football games. Shows at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. Nights out on the town. There are so many reasons why folks want to stay in Auburn! With a new hotel in Downtown Auburn, out-of-town guests will have more options than ever. The site for the planned hotel is where the current Anders Bookstore stands at the intersection of Wright Street and West Magnolia Avenue.

What will the new hotel be like?

If you’ve ever been to a big college town, you may have heard of Graduate Hotels. They are the ones planning to build a new hotel in Downtown Auburn, which is slated to be called “Graduate Auburn.” Their projects stand in places like Graduate Athens at the University of Georgia at Athens and Graduate Chapel Hill at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

With designs currently in the planning phase, the hotel is projected to stand five stories tall. It will include 177 rooms and house a restaurant as well. Finally, it will also boast a fitness center and a huge conference room! That means it will be a great place to host out-of-town, campus, sports, and other events.

What will parking be like?

Parking is a big deal around here! That means many of us are curious about where the parking lot will be and how many spaces will be available for this new project. At the moment, even though the proposal has earned conditional approval, the finalization of parking spaces remains ongoing. However, it’s possible that there will be around 121 spaces.

Summary

Our town is filled with amazing people—and we’re lucky enough to have thousands of wonderful visitors each and every year. Soon, we’ll be able to welcome even more friendly visitors to our city—and we’re hoping they’ll love staying at the new hotel in Downtown Auburn.
