The city of Auburn is dedicated to giving its residents the best possible living experience. Now, it’s also building a cool new outdoor classroom at the Auburn Public Library. Though residents still have some time to wait before they can use it, here’s just what they can look forward to in the future!

What features will it offer?

The new outdoor classroom at the Auburn Public Library brings a lot to the table—or, well, the great outdoors. Visitors can take advantage of features such as:

  • An amphitheater with seating for 140 people;
  • A pollinator garden;
  • A variety of growing trees;
  • Embedded boulders as a seating option;
  • An ADA-compliant setting
  • Handicap accessibility; and
  • A stormwater garden.

Where will it be?

The outdoor classroom at the Auburn Public Library will be constructed at the north side of the parking lot. If you want to see the progress—or check out a good book—you can visit the library at 749 East Thach Ave. You can also learn more about the library on the Auburn website.

When will construction start?

Construction has already started! Auburn residents will be happy to learn that the project is estimated for quick turnaround. As of now, the outdoor classroom is promised to be finished in September.

Summary

Though good things are often worth the wait, you’ll be happy to know that some amazing creations come nearly wait-free. That’s right—soon, the outdoor classroom at the Auburn Public Library will be ready for visitors. Until then, you can always visit the library for a good book or two to entertain you!
