One of Downtown Auburn’s most popular summer events is happening this Friday, June 7, at which you’ll get a chance to appreciate all things art. At Auburn’s SummerNight Downtown Art Walk 2019, there’s plenty to see, do, and even buy. If you’re ready to close your work week with a bang, check out more on this cool festival.
What is SummerNight?
SummerNight Downtown Art Walk 2019 is festival full of art and inspiration. Art vendors will have booths set up throughout downtown for festival attendees to browse. SummerNight is not only a celebration of local and regional artists, but of live musicians, street performers, food and more.
This year, it also has a sweet theme: strawberries. Thrown by the Auburn Downtown Merchants’ Association, the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts and Humanities, the Auburn Arts Association, Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center and the City of Auburn itself, this event highlights Auburn’s impressive creative side. In addition to live music and art from local creators, SummerNight Downtown Art Walk 2019 will also include:
- A parade, which all are invited to march in;
- Dining and shopping opportunities;
- Performances from Tony Brook; and
- Arts and crafts for children.
Attendees will also be excited to know that the event is free. Even standard and valet parking in certain parts of Downtown Auburn will come at no cost from 5 to 11 p.m.
