Mardi Gras Parade, March 2
- What: You don’t have to head over to New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras. Instead, go downtown for a celebratory parade from Krewe de Tigris. You can even sign up to be in the parade yourself!

Beer vs. Wine: BBQ Pairing Showdown, March 3
- What: Now that it’s warming up, it’s time to start barbecuing again. Even better, at this event, pair delicious beer and wine for your barbecued fare. Enjoy seafood, meat, and veggie options. Tickets cost $50 a person.

Coloring for a Cause, March 5
- What: What if something as easy and fun as coloring could make a difference? During Coloring for a Cause, it can! Raise money and add a splash of color to a beautiful mural at this vibrant event. Plus, show your receipts to event officials, and the beneficiaries will receive donations.

Strategy Game Day, March 9
- What: Try out a different kind of Auburn game day at this event. Instead of football, you can enjoy tabletop and board games. Plus, by attending, you’ll be directly helping the East Alabama Food Bank and Lee County Humane Society. Entrance is free—simply bring canned or pet food in lieu of cash.

Opelika Songwriter’s Night, March 20

Gee’s Bend Quilting Workshop, March 23
- What: For close to 100 years, the quilts made in Gee’s Bend, Alabama, have captivated audiences. With the help of Gee’s Bend quilters, Mary Ann and China Pettway, find out about the traditions and styles created by their makers—and how to make a quilt in the spirit of these beautiful pieces of art. Prefer to bring in a quilt in-progress? You’re welcome to do that too! Tickets cost $150 per person and include lunch and supplies.
