Looks like Santa’s taking a trip away from the North Pole! In fact, this weekend, you can see him in at least four different locations around town. For fun, games, food, and of course photos with St. Nicholas, you and your loved ones can make the day memorable by visiting these places to see Santa in Auburn and Opelika this weekend.

Rocky Brook Rocket Reindeer Express, Dec. 13-15

  • What: Take a ride on the Rocky Brook Rocket Reindeer Express. Before—or after—your train ride around Opelika Municipal Park, you can also drink hot chocolate and get your face painted. Then, it’s time to take a picture with Santa Claus—and maybe ask him to put a present or two under the tree.

Ashley HomeStore “This Is Home with Santa” Event, Dec. 15

  • What: Forgot to write to Santa? That’s OK—you can just tell him what you want for Christmas when you visit him at this event. Now, one of the places to see Santa in Auburn and Opelika this weekend offers free fare, like hot chocolate and cookies. Then, it’s time to pose with Jolly St. Nick! Finally, when you head home, take a complimentary photo of your visit with Santa home with you too.

Santa Claus on the Corner, Dec. 15 and 16

  • What: Head over to one of the most famous places in Auburn to meet with one of the most famous figures in the world. There, you can take photos with Santa. Though all photographs are completely free, you can also make a donation to the United Way during your visit.
  • Where: Toomer’s Corner, 112 College St., Auburn
  • When: Dec. 15 from 12 to 4 p.m. and Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

My Gym’s Cookies with Santa, Dec. 16

  • What: Munch on delicious cookies as you prepare for a photo with Santa and your family. Plus, you can also watch puppet shows, enjoy dance music, and even play games. My Gym members can expect to pay $15 per family, while those who do not have a My Gym membership can pay $20 per family. Don’t forget to pre-register if you wish to attend. Spots are filling up quickly!
