All four-legged furballs are welcome to Bark in the Park on May 12 at Kiesel Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Enjoy a variety of activities and vendors catered to you and your dog thanks to co-hosts City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department and the Lee County Humane Society. Active Auburn’s Play in the Park will also be at Kiesel Park that day!
Bark in the Park will offer pet-themed services from specialized vendors, including but not limited to
- Dog trainers,
- Veterinarians,
- Microchipping by the PetVet Animal Health Center,
- Pet supply stores, and
- Pet-themed product sellers.
Wanting to help a pet in need? Bark in the Park will offer dogs for adoption! If you think you have room in your home for another pet, check out the available dogs. Additionally, attendees may participate in the following:
- door prizes,
- face painting, and
- a photoshoot in the doggie photo booth with their pet.
Proceeds from Bark in the Park go to the Lee County Humane Society; these funds come from activities during the event that require a fee. To support the Humane Society, attendees may participate in bandana tie-dyeing activities and, since we all know bathing your dog can be a hassle, a dog bathing booth. Vendors will also offer T-shirts for sale. Furthermore, a dress-up your pup for Active Auburn’s Play in the Park costume contest with an entry fee of $10!
If you feel hungry, head over to Hot Dog Express for lunch or Kona Ice for a refreshing dessert. The event will feature live music, so relax on the lawn with your pet while having lunch!
Active Auburn’s Play in the Park event will host the free-to-the-public Doggie Scent Safari at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
