Auburn Azalea Festival

The second annual Auburn Azalea Festival returns this Saturday on March 31! Come out to enjoy the azaleas, meet an azalea expert, listen to live music, eat delicious food, and more!

The 2017 Auburn Azalea Festival was a blast, and expectations are just as high this year! The festival will be held at the Donald E. Davis Arboretum located off South College and Lem Morrison Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Guests can peruse the Auburn-native azaleas available for purchase and hear from Ernest Koone, an expert in all things azaleas, the president of Lazy K Nursery, Inc. and a partner for Garden Delights in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Garden Delights is a full-service garden center with a fantastic and large selection of native azaleas! Have azalea questions? Feel free to ask Ernest Koone!

Azaleas aren’t the only thing to look forward to at the Auburn Azalea Festival. Expect live music and a selection of amazing local artists and crafters to offer their services! Browse gorgeous arts and crafts in addition to the azaleas. Worried about food? No need! The festival will also include a range of food truck options to satisfy your hunger cravings.

Additionally, the Auburn University Museum of Natural History (AUMNH) will privilege guests with a range of animals just like last year. The AUMNH is Auburn’s regional base of biodiversity and heritage research, assisting in the conservation of the natural land for the betterment of future generations. The Museum plans to give a preview of an October event, so don’t forget to check them out at the festival!
