Imbibe and tap into your creative side this Saturday, January 27, at a brand new event hosted by Auburn Parks and Recreation—Sip N’ Paint Night!
A joint effort between Auburn Parks and Recreation and the Dean Road Ceramics Studio, Sip N’ Paint Night is a brand new, 21 and older event that invites participants to pick up a new artistic hobby, rekindle an old love for art or simply socialize while interacting with other like-minded individuals. The event, which will be held at Dean Road Recreation Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., will give adults the opportunity to explore the relationship between painting and ceramics during a one-night only class.
The theme for this inaugural Sip N’ Paint Night is “Beautiful Alabama.” Participants will receive pre-fashioned handmade ceramic mugs and will paint a watercolor depiction of the state of Alabama on their mugs. The class will be led by an instructor from Dean Road Ceramics Studio.
Participants are invited to bring their own adult beverages to sip on as they paint. All attendees must be 21 or older and must present identification including a driver’s license, non-driver ID, passport or passport card. The cost to participate in Sip N’ Paint Night is $35 per person, which includes studio fees, supplies and light snacks!
Located inside the Dean Road Recreation Center, the Dean Road Ceramics Studio offers a variety of ceramics classes for a range of abilities—from beginners to experienced ceramic artists. Independent studio memberships are also available pending approval from the studio director.
