Have you ever been driving around, seen a home with stunning curb appeal and thought, “I wonder what it looks like on the inside?” This holiday season, you can find out on the 11th Annual Loveliest Village Christmas Tour of Homes and Buildings!
This annual Auburn tradition hosted by the Auburn Preservation League will take place Saturday, December 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, December 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. The tour will take participants along a route including seven homes and two buildings in the Auburn area, where holiday decorations will be on display at each location. The tour also includes Cider Stops, where tour goers can pick up a cup of cider during tour hours.
Stops on the 11th Annual Loveliest Village Christmas Tour of Homes and Buildings include:
- Townsend home on South Gay Street
- Davis-Marentes home on Cox Street
- Pittard home on Cross Creek Road
- Gray, West and Sager homes on Cary Drive
- Dunstan’s the Episcopal Church at Auburn University on East Magnolia
- The Gen. James H. Lane home, owned and used by the Woman’s Club, on Sanders Street
Cider Stops include:
- Blooming Colors on South Donahue Drive
- The Flower Store on Moores Mill Road
- Behind the Glass on East Magnolia Avenue
Tickets for the 11th Annual Loveliest Village Christmas Tour of Homes and Buildings are $20 and are on sale at the following locations:
- Ace Hardware
- Auburn Bank (all locations)
- Auburn Chamber of Commerce
- Auburn Hardware
- Blooming Colors
- Flowersmith’s
- The Flower Store
- All homes on the days of the tour
Proceeds from the tour support the Auburn Preservation League and specifically will be used to cover the costs of providing renovations or repairs to Auburn homes built prior to 1940. Eligible homes must be occupied by homeowners who are 70 or older, veterans or low-income residents.
