Cozy up to the feeling of fall this month and next with the Fall Sundown Concert Series at Kiesel Park—brought to you by Auburn Parks and Recreation!
The concert series started last Thursday with the bluegrass band Electric Rangers and continues tonight, Sept. 28, with October dates scheduled for Oct. 12 and Oct. 19. Guests are invited to enjoy the evening outdoors at Auburn’s beautiful Kiesel Park with family, friends, a date, a dog or solo! For the series, pack a lawn chair or blanket and bring a picnic to snack on while relaxing to the live performance sounds of local and regional musicians.
In addition to live music, food vendors will be on site, as well as inflatables for children. Concerts begin each night of the series at 6 p.m., and they are completely free and open to the public!
The remaining schedule of bands for the series is as follows:
Sept. 28: Soul Therapy
Oct. 12: Soul Coalition
Oct. 19: Alabama Avenue
Soul Therapy specializes in live R&B and classic soul music to create a sound ideal for singing along to.
Soul Coalition of East Alabama (SoulCo) performs a mix of covers and original songs representing a diverse genre of music. Instrumentation includes drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocalists, and genres represented include R&B, blues, rock and roll and country.
East Alabama-based Alabama Avenue is a self-described “party band” playing popular classic and Southern rock, new and traditional country and upbeat party songs to get listeners dancing and singing along.
Break from your weeknight routine this month and plan a night outside in Auburn’s charming Kiesel Park! Kiesel Park is located at 520 Chadwick Lane in Auburn.
