What do you get when you walk through downtown Auburn sipping libations and snacking on local fare on a Friday in July—all while shouting, “Cheers!” to 1,000 of your closest friends? In Auburn, it’s a gathering known as Cheers on the Corner, and it’s coming up this year on Friday, July 28!
In its second year, Cheers on the Corner is a food and beverage tasting event that gives attendees the opportunity to literally get a taste for what downtown Auburn has to offer. Set in picturesque downtown Auburn, Cheers on the Corner participants also get a chance to enjoy browsing local shops, restaurants and bars and simply enjoying the energy and charm that Auburn’s downtown thoroughfare affords.
For the event, ticketholders will receive a souvenir tasting glass and will follow a trail through downtown Auburn with stops at participating businesses. At each stop, participants will receive a drink and food sample to connect them with some local flavor. As an Entertainment District event, attendees are welcome to walk around with beverages in hand, and streets will be closed off to traffic in the main event area.
In addition to some tasty food and drink offerings, Cheers on the Corner will feature entertainment on the Toomer’s Corner Tiger Paw by Spencer Daniel and the Rouge Tones. Tickets to this event are $30 in advance and $35 the week of the event—but event organizers warn that Cheers on the Corner did sell out ahead of time last year! Tent sponsorships are also available for purchase.
Get a taste of downtown Auburn next Friday, July 28, at the second annual Cheers on the Corner!
