Part of the appeal of spring and summer is not only soaking up the sun, but it is getting to enjoy another important result of the sun’s strong rays—fresh, homegrown fruits and veggies. May is typically the time in Auburn and Opelika when we can get excited about our local farmers markets opening up shop. With most of them only open one day a week, we have the opportunity to look forward to a weekly event as we shop for our strawberries, squash, cucumber and cantaloupe. Check out these farmers markets in Auburn and Opelika that are opening this month!
