Coming Up: May Spring Sundown Concert Series at Town Creek Park

Spring Sundown Concert Series

With spring-into summer bringing us longer daylight hours, we have the opportunity to reclaim our evenings and after-work time to enjoy spending outdoors if we so choose. During the month of May, the City of Auburn is hosting several opportunities to spread out a blanket or unfold a chair on the green grass of Auburn’s Town Creek Park and listen to live music in the evening air. It’s the annual May Spring Sundown Concert Series at Town Creek Park, and it starts one week from today!

Each Thursday evening in May, the Spring Sundown Concert Series invites the community to enjoy a relaxing evening of live entertainment featuring local and regional musicians. Enhance your twilight concert experience by bringing a picnic, your pets, your best pal or the entire family. These events are free and open to the public!

Concerts will begin at 6 p.m. each Thursday in May. The schedule of performers is as follows:

  • May 4: The Electric Rangers
  • May 11: Cool Water
  • May 18: H20 Featuring Louisiana Fred
  • May 25: Soul Therapy Featuring DJ Hollywood

The Electric Rangers, who will be kicking off the Spring Sundown Concert Series on May 4, serve up authentic “honkytonk” music including classic country, authentic original Americana, and inspirations of old school R&B and rock and roll. The Auburn-based group first played together in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1980 and has since toured in Asia, South America and all over the United States.

Town Creek Park is one of Auburn’s most widely-used parks. Located on South Gay Street, the park includes a .87-mile-long walking trail, pond, green space and 200 by 50-feet enclosed dog park. Get out and about after school and work during the month of May with Auburn’s Spring Sundown Concert Series!
