Your four-legged family members deserve a day to come together with their fellow canines to celebrate what it means to be a dog. On March 25, you and your pawed pets will have the chance to do just that at the annual Bark in the Park celebration at Auburn’s Kiesel Park!
Tagged as a “celebration of responsible dog ownership,” Bark in the Park will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this year at Kiesel Park off Chadwick Lane in Auburn. Dog lovers and their fur-covered counterparts are invited to take a walk, talk to vendors and participate in doggy-themed arts and crafts. The free event will feature educational booths, pet-related vendors, a doggy photo booth, five-minute pet portraits, door prizes and much more. Booths will boast an array of items for pet enthusiasts including pet clothing and collars, treats, discounts on spaying and neutering and even the opportunity for low-cost rabies vaccinations.
In conjunction with Bark in the Park, the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine will host a Doggie Olympics, during which the top-performing pooches will have the opportunity to win gift certificates and other prizes.
In addition to bringing your beloved dog or dogs, at Bark in the Park you will also have the opportunity to add to your pet family. Rescue dogs will be on-site and available for adoption!
Before, after or during Bark in the Park, stop by the Kiesel Park off-lease dog park area, which is Auburn’s largest dog park. A dog agility course exists alongside the dog park, and two ponds nearby provide a place for pets to get their paws wet.
Take the opportunity to get your canine out and about, interact with other pet owners and learn more about responsible dog ownership at the 2017 Bark in the Park event this Saturday, March 25!
