Have you ever driven past a striking home or building in Auburn and wondered what it looks like on the inside? This weekend, you have the chance to find out!
On Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11, The Auburn Preservation League will host its 10th annual Loveliest Village Christmas Tour of Homes and Buildings, on which tour-goers will have the opportunity to view seven homes and two buildings in the Auburn area.
Representing a mix of new construction, older homes, recently-renovated spaces and local landmarks, the tour shows off the homes decked out in all of their holiday splendor. This year’s stops include:
- The Dees home on Moores Mill Road
- The Dyer home on Orchard Circle
- The Broach-Sherer home on Brenda Avenue
- The West home on Wrights Mill Road
- The Frank home on Wrights Mill Road
- The Pylant home on Singleton Street
- The Webster home on Martin Luther King Drive
- The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center
- Pebble Hill, home of the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities at Auburn University
Tour guests will also enjoy “cider stops” at Blooming Colors on South Donahue Drive, the Little-Sprayberry House on North Gay Street, The Depot on Mitcham Avenue and The Flower Store on Moores Mill Road.
Tickets for the tour cost $20, and funds support the Auburn Preservation League, which strives to cultivate historic preservation throughout the Auburn community.
Tickets are on sale at Flowersmiths, Blooming Colors, Marquirette’s Jewelry, Auburn Hardware, the Flower Store, University Ace Hardware, the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, all Auburn Bank locations, BBVA Compass Bank and Ware Jewelers in Auburn. They will also be available at each tour stop on the day of the event.
