It’s the last day of 2016, and people worldwide are getting ready to ring in the New Year!

- What: Welcome 2017 with a five course sharing menu, a champagne toast at midnight and live jazz in Piccolo.
- Where: Ariccia at The Hotel at Auburn University, 241 South College Street, Auburn
- When: 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.; live jazz will begin at 9 p.m.
- Cost: $60 per person; reservations required
- Cigar & Fine Spirits New Year’s Eve Bash
- What: Enjoy $4 glasses and $20 bottles of Cigar & Fine Spirits’ house champagne and celebrate the end of 2016!
- Where: Cigar & Fine Spirits, 1849 Ogletree Road Suite 100, Auburn
- When: 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- Goodbye 2016 Bash at Red Clay Brewing Co.
- What: Say “goodbye” to 2016 with Red Clay’s signature pints and a “champagne” toast at midnight! All pints will be $5 with some select beers available for $4 a pint.
- Where: Red Clay Brewing Company, 704 N. Railroad Ave., Opelika
- When: 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
- Cost: No cover
- New Year’s Eve with Point of Sizzle at Eighth and Rail
- What: Experience the high-energy tunes of Point of Sizzle with openers Alex Wilkerson and Radio Decay. Also, enjoy a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.
- Where: Eighth and Rail, 807 S. Railroad Ave., Opelika
- When: 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
- New Year’s Eve Dinner at the Marriott at Grand National
- What: The Marriott at Gran National will be serving a special New Year’s Eve menu featuring seared ahi breadloaf tuna, rack of lamb, blackened redfish and a chocolate pyramid dessert. Cheers to 2017 with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight!
- Where: Auburn-Opelika Marriot at Grand National, 3700 Robert Trent Jones Trail, Opelika
- When: Specials served from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
