December’s big day is here! With presents under the tree, lights twinkling in the corner of the living room and carols providing a soft background hum, it must be Christmas morning.
Around the holidays, many of us tend to get swept up in crossing off everything on our to-do lists while planning holiday parties, finishing all of our shopping, readying our homes for guests and making sure the Christmas lights stay on.
All of this, though meant to be fun and cheerful, can admittedly get a bit overwhelming at times.
It is important this and every holiday season that we take a minute to ourselves to just breathe. Take a minute—whether you are in the car, in the kitchen or waking up in the morning—to remind yourself why Christmas exists, and how we can apply the principles of giving and selflessness to our own lives.
