A Look at Market Trends in Lee County Fall 2016

Advantageous to the seller, home sale prices in Lee County were up while housing inventory was down this fall compared to the same time last year. According to the Lee County Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service, the median home sale price during the month of October was $225,000, which is 14 percent higher than it was last October.

Also in October, the Lee County housing inventory was 457 units, a decrease of 30 percent from October 2015 and a decrease of 67 percent from September of this year.

While the median home sale price was up, sales themselves were down—with residential sales totaling 99 units during October—a decrease of 12 percent (13 units) below the same period last year.

Compared to the state as a whole, the housing supply is down 2 percent from this time last year, and the median sales price is up 4 percent. Overall in the state, home sales are up 217 units over October 2015.
